High Risk Insurance Pool (HIP)
The Treatment and Care Program can pay your insurance payments, co-pays, and deductibles if you meet the program requirements.

*REQUIREMENTS FOR HIP*

• You must have HIV/AIDS
• You must be low income
• You must be below a certain asset level (you can own a car and a home)
• You must be on HIV medications
• You must live in Utah
• You cannot be on Medicaid or have any other public or private health insurance
• You must be accepted to the High Risk Insurance Pool offered by Select Health

COBRA
Health Insurance Continuation
The Treatment and Care Program can pay your COBRA payments if you meet the program requirements.

*REQUIREMENTS FOR COBRA*

• You must have HIV/AIDS
• You must be low income
• You must be below a certain asset level (you can own a car and a home)
• You have your own health insurance plan or you are a dependant covered under your family member's plan
• You cannot be on Medicaid
• You must be on HIV medications
• You must live in Utah
• Your health insurance plan must cover HIV related costs and HIV related medications when you do not stay in the hospital
