CHIP - Covering Utah's Children
You may apply
now for CHIP. CHIP is always open for enrollment!
Important Notice: The federal government has not funded the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for its new budget year starting October 1, 2017. Fortunately, Utah has enough federal money from past years to continue CHIP through January 2018. Children on Utah CHIP can continue to get medical, dental and behavioral health services for now. If the federal government does not approve more funding for CHIP, Utah CHIP coverage will likely end on January 31, 2018. If this happens, the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) will send families a letter telling them when their child(ren)’s CHIP coverage will end. If Utah CHIP coverage ends, many of the children will be eligible for coverage on the federal exchange.
