Our conference is fast approaching and will be held on August 13th. It will be focused on health disparities both on the local and national front. We are hoping it provides the tools and action steps required to make a difference.
It will host numerous leading experts, including Brian Smedley from the Joint Institute in D.C. Brian is widely known as one of the top experts on Health Disparities research in the nation. We also have Jann Jackson from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, known for her expertise on disparities affecting families and children. In addition, we have numerous local participants, including UDOH Deputy-Directors Patton and Garrett.
We feel that this is a great opportunity for the community to come together around one cause. At the very least, it will prove an informative event regarding an issue that affects Utahns and is currently at the center of the national political debate. In addition this conference is an excellent place for networking to anyone interested in eliminating health disparities in Utah.
Date: August 13, 2009 (8:00 am-4:00 pm)
