Regulations:

In order to become a Certified Food Safety Manager in Utah, you must pass an approved certified exam. The following approved examinations in Utah are:

  • Serve Safe (National Restaurant Association)
  • Thompson Prometric (formerly Experior)
  • Utah State University Food Safety Manager Course
  • National Registry of Food Safety Professionals
  • Other exams approved by the Conference of Food Protection

    Certification as a Certified Food Safety Manager is dependant upon passing an approved test. Consult with your local health department for more information regarding location of testing centers. Some courses available to prepare for the approved test include, but not limited to:
