All clients – Contact Utah Public Health Laboratory prior to submitting specimens.
Monday – Thursday as required
Microagglutination per LRN Protocols
- Collect:Serum or plasma; at least 1 mL in a sterile container.
- Specimen Preparation:an acute phase specimen should be collected as soon as possible after onset of disease. A convalescent phase specimen should be collected >14 days after the acute specimen
- Storage/Transport Conditions: refrigerate at 2 to 8°C
- Unacceptable Conditions:
Detected or Not Detected
No agglutinating antibodies against Francisella tularensis detected.
Agglutinating antibodies against Francisella tularensis species detected.
It is mandatory that UPHL be contacted prior to submitting samples for testing.
