Infectious Diseases Laboratory

The Infectious Diseases Laboratory assists state and local health departments investigate outbreaks and tests for infectious diseases. The Utah Public Health Laboratory is a member of the Laboratory Response Network and laboratory employees have training and equipment for identifying agents used as biological weapons. The Infectious Disease Laboratory serves as a resource and reference to private laboratories in the state.
