Assurance (In-house QA)
This program reviews all phases of testing performed within
the Division of Epidemiology and Laboratory Services to ensure
a high level of quality. Review of quality control information,
monitoring statistical data, interviews with personnel, comparison
of actual work to the written procedures, and the evaluation
of procedures are performed to detect potential problems that
may have an impact on the quality or timeliness of results.
Quality assurance committees act on information affecting the
pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phase of the work.
The division's quality assurance plan is maintained, updated
and monitored by this program.
