Why is my pharmacy claim for Triaminic being rejected?
Your pharmacy claim for Triaminic may be getting rejected for the following reasons:
- You are submitting a claim for something other than an oral liquid. Medicaid only pays for a select number of oral liquids.
- The NDC that you are using isn't in our system. The manufacturer of Triaminic recently replaced the pseudoephedrine in their products with phenylephrine. All of these new formulations have different NDC's then we have used in the past. We are updating our database to include all of the new NDC's each time that the manufacturer provides updated information. Until this issue is resolved, we will be keeping a list of covered NDC's on the Coverage & Reimbursement page in the Pharmacy Services website.
