Interpreters
for Medical Services
Does
someone you know need an interpreter when seeking medical services?
Interpretive (translation) services during a medical appointment
are free for Medicaid clients. For people enrolled in
a health maintenance organization (HMO), the HMO is responsible
for providing the interpreter. Utah Medicaid pays for an interpreter
for clients who are not enrolled in an HMO. The free translation
service is available statewide.
Please
request the interpretive service as much in advance as possible!
Please notify the interpreter immediately if the medical appointment
is changed or canceled!
