YOUR SEARCH FOR A WORD OR PHRASE.
FIND
FUNCTION: Use the 'find'
function to quickly find what you want on a page on the Internet.
The 'find' function is usually on the Main Toolbar (at
the top or side of the screen) under the word Edit.
You can also press the control (ctrl) key and the 'F' key
at the same time (Ctrl + F). Then type in a word or
phrase you want to find in the page you are looking at. For
example, try using the 'find' function on this page to locate the
word Medicaid. NOTE: The 'find' function only searches
for the word or phrase in the web page open on the screen. To seach
for the word or phrase in other documents, use the search engine
on the State of Utah home page www.utah.gov

color and underlined has a link. Some links are internal.
They connect one place in a document to another place in the same
document. Other links are external. They connect the
document you are viewing to a different document.
BOOKMARK:
A bookmark 'remembers'a page. Instead of typing in the
Internet address in the location field, you select the bookmark
for the page you want to see. There are Internet instructions on
how to set, change and delete bookmarks. Look on the Main
Toolbar (at the top or side of the screen) for the selections
Bookmark and Help .
SPEED UP
READING A WEB PAGE: Use the links on a page and the control
(Ctrl) key to move around quickly on a web page. The control
key works the same as it does in word processing. For
example, pressing the control key and the end key at the same time
(Ctrl+End) takes you to the end of the document. Pressing
the control key and the Home key at the same time (Ctrl+Home) takes
you to the top of the document. Pressing the control key and
the up arrow key takes you up one paragraph at a time. Pressing
the control key and the down arrow key take you down one paragraph
at a time.
