1. Does the look of the home page make you want to read further?

- I was interested and immediately clicked on some of the excel graphs.
-The website was complicated - not intuitive.
-Utah Department of Health general mailing address and phone number would be very difficult for seniors.
- With what I have learned about marketing - and taking into account that everyone has different color preferences - the "look" of the home page is rather drab, and therefore it doesn't "draw you in" or entice you to read more. It has more of an institutional look/feel rather than a "consumer" appeal which is your target audience.
- Yes
-Not bad.

2. Is the home page flowing and easy to read?

- I don't know if i'd say flowing - it was easy to read...but a lot to read. The graphs are still complex for everyday person. (not necessarly complex - but the indicators weren't described well - and not sure most folks would relate to charges.
-The first page of the report was clear and all of the white space was nice. The titles and headings are easy to read. The text itself is a bit light and "lacey."
-The people are small and far away... Not accessible.
-Home page/consumer reports... Line is hard to read.
- Yes
-Yes, the only suggestion i have is that perhaps make the font a jet black. It seems gray to me and a little difficult to read.
-The introduction - senate bill blah blah blah seems a little bland.

3. Some sections have only a brief description with a link for more info or full text. Is that a useful way to condense and make more room for different topics on the home page?

- Ok - but can get into too may 'read more' links.
- Brief description with link is useful.
- It is - provided it doesn't get overdone. I have felt on many sites that i have been to so many "links" that i have lost track of my original subject.
- Yes, you don't want too much info on one page and make your reader scroll and scroll and scroll....
- I like this format but i would add one more sentence to each of the brief descriptions.

4. Please access at least one data table (excel format only). Did you find the data clear and understandable. Does the information help you to make a better decision about choosing a hospital for treatment?

- See above - it could if the indicators were explained. Why would hosp charges be important to someone...and there is so much goobly gook mixed into hosp charges - it is hard to distinguish for the average person (those charges may not have meaning related to quality of care). .
- Data seemed clear and understandable and i think when all the names are there, it will be good. However, the areas where you explained some "qualifications" about the data may get missed. I wonder if some of that could be "linked" at the data point itself
- Yes. If you're selecting based on price...
- Yes. Love data. It is clear and would be very helpful to consumers. It's like the dots in consumer reports.

5. Please look at one of the "read more about" segments. Did it seems like a good link and was the information useful?

- Link took me to another website - that's fine, but sometimes i get 'distracted' on the new website and don't come back!
-"read more" segments - good link with useful information.
- Yes
- Useful, but when i select read more, it brings me to the middle of the page.
- The info seemed useful. The knee one is especially helpful with all of the graphics (pictures).

6. Any comments about the overall report?

- Glad to have it out there!
- Nice work.
- Yes, the tables would make me think twice about some of the hospitals.
- Looks good.
