Utah Rural Health Photo Contest

Embracing Rural Utah

The Utah Office of Primary Care and Rural Health (OPCRH) announces the 3nd Annual Utah Rural Photo Contest. We encourage you to be creative and share visually what “rural” means to you!

Governor Gary R. Herbert has declared the week of November 16-22, 2014 as Rural Health Week and encourages rural communities to celebrate with activities that improve the health of rural Utahns.

Contestants are welcome to submit one or more photos until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014.

Please submit photos in a .jpeg format with a minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 (prefer 2240 x 1680 or higher) to opcrh@utah.gov and include your name, email address, organization name (if applicable), and the title and location of each photo in the PDF entry form.

First, second and third places will be awarded prizes from OPCRH.

Photos will be judged by the Office of Primary Care and Rural Health based on creativity, originality, photo quality, how well they communicate the concept of “rural,” and overall appeal. Winners will be notified by December 15, 2014 and photos will be posted on the OPCRH website, http://health.utah.gov/primarycare/.

Upon submission, all photos become the sole property of the Utah Department of Health and can be used for any purpose without credit to the photographer.
