Secondhand Smoke Outdoors
Since 2003 a number of cities and counties in Utah have established smokefree policies for outdoor settings. These policies are designed to help protect Utah children and adults from secondhand smoke exposure, set smoke-free societal norms, and to reduce cigarette litter.
Policies listed may ban all smoking or restrict smoking to specific locations.
The following list is a compilation of ordinances, resolutions, and voluntary policies that have been implemented by municipalities and private organizations in the state since 2003.
