Are there any screening tests for ovarian cancer?

Women at average risk of ovarian cancer are not screened on a regular basis unless they show symptoms of ovarian cancer. However, signs of ovarian cancer may appear during routine exams, such as a pelvic exam.

For women who are at high risk of ovarian cancer, a CA-125 blood test or a transvaginal ultrasound may be performed.
