Are there any screening tests for pancreatic cancer?

Right now, doctors do not screen people for pancreatic cancer on a regular basis.

If there is reason to believe a person might be suffering from pancreatic cancer, his or her doctor may use one of the following tests to find out if pancreatic cancer is a possibility:

  • Ultrasound
  • CT Scan
  • MRI
  • Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound
  • Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography
  • Tissue Biopsy
