How is prostate cancer treated?

If the cancer has not spread beyond the prostate, some treatment options may include:

  • Surgery to remove the prostate (radical prostatectomy)
  • Radiation
  • Watchful Waiting (regular check-ups with a doctor to see if the cancer progresses at all).

Each patient needs to speak with his doctor to find out the best treatment for him.
