Do tanning beds cause skin cancer?

Recent research says that yes, tanning beds can cause cancer.  The World Health Organization strongly urges all people to avoid using tanning beds, especially those under the age of 18.

The American Cancer Society reports that those who regularly expose themselves to UV light from tanning beds at age 35 or younger are eight times more likely to develop melanoma*.
