What is a co-insurance?

You may have to pay a fee when it is not an emergency and you stay overnight as a patiet in the hospital. This fee is called co-insurance. Pregnant women and children do not pay co-insurance. Medicare or other insurance may affect co-insurance.

A message will print on your medica card if you need to pay this fee. Get and save your receipt from your co-insurance payment.
