What is a Health Program Representative (HPR)?

An HPR works with the Medicaid program, usually in the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) or rural Local Health Departments (LHD).

Your HPR has classes about Medicaid benefits.
During the class your HPR will talk to you about the health plans in your area.
The HPR will help you choose a health plan that will work best for you.
You may be able to change a health plan by contacting your HPR.
