Utah Women and Newborns Quality Collaborative (UWNQC) is a statewide, multi-stakeholder network dedicated to improving perinatal health in the state

Vision: "Optimal perinatal and neonatal outcomes in Utah"
Mission: "Improve maternal and neonatal outcomes through collaborative efforts centered around quality improvement methodology and data sharing"

GOALS
  • Build consensus, awareness and support across the state regarding the value and benefits of participation in UWNQC and acquire the financial resources necessary for the ongoing development of UWNQC.
  • Establish, convene and support a statewide, multi-disciplinary body (General Membership), a Board of Directors and Subcommittees needed to identify, select, implement and champion value-added perinatal quality improvement efforts.
  • Design and implement a data driven process for the development and implementation of value-added perinatal health quality improvement efforts.
STRATEGIES
  • Formalize key organizational participation in UWNQC by providing representation on UWNQC Board of Directors.
  • Establish and convene Board of Directors, Maternal, Neonatal, Out-of-Hospital Birth and Data Subcommittees and General Membership.
