Why are WIC foods changing?

·        To help you eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains

·        To better support breastfeeding

·        To offer more common foods to people of other cultures

·        To help you and your family reach a healthy weight

 

The changes in the food packages reflect the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and recommendations from the Institute of Medicine.
