CHILD CARE LICENSING

RENEWAL LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES


You must renew your license or certificate before its expiration date. Be sure you complete all steps for your provider or program type. Failure to meet deadlines or due dates may result in late fees or the need to reapply.

LICENSED CENTER PROVIDERS
Have an Annual Announced Inspection and show compliance with the
rules.
Submit a Renewal Request through your Child Care Licensing Portal.
Submit a copy of your current Fire Clearance or documentation that it is not required.
  • Upload it in your Renewal Request. OR
  • Use the Submit Documentation tab on your Child Care Licensing Portal. OR
  • Email it to Lisa Rountree at lrountree@utah.gov.
Log out of your Child Care Licensing Portal and pay:
  • any late fees
  • any unpaid fees

LICENSED HOURLY CENTER PROVIDERS
Have an Annual Announced Inspection and show compliance with the
rules.
Submit a Renewal Request through your Child Care Licensing Portal.
Submit a copy of your current Fire Clearance or documentation that it is not required.
  • Upload it in your Renewal Request. OR
  • Use the Submit Documentation tab on your Child Care Licensing Portal. OR
  • Email it to Lisa Rountree at lrountree@utah.gov.
Log out of your Child Care Licensing Portal and pay:
  • any late fees
  • any unpaid fees

LICENSED OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAM PROVIDERS
Have an Annual Announced Inspection and show compliance with the
rules.
Submit a Renewal Request through your Child Care Licensing Portal.
Submit a copy of your current Fire Clearance or documentation that it is not required.
  • Upload it in your Renewal Request. OR
  • Use the Submit Documentation tab on your Child Care Licensing Portal. OR

rules.

  • Use the Submit Documentation tab on your Child Care Licensing Portal. OR
